Martinez Goes Solar

Mencius LLC, in collaboration with ERRG, has executed an agreement with The Solar Company to install solar panels on the main building and warehouse located at 4585 Pacheco Boulevard.


Permitting and initial engineering design has begun and the system will go online September 2014. Comprised of 494 Sunpower solar modules with 5 Power One inverters that will be capable of producing 80% of the energy requirements of the building. The system will eliminate approximately 206,123 lbs. of pollution annually, which is equivalent to the planting of 62 acres of trees.

Financing for the project is being provided by First American Equipment Finance, a City National Bank Company, under a 10 year operating lease agreement with very favorable terms. It provides for immediate cash flow benefits derived from the reduction of utility expense that increase over time. The agreement solidifies the business relationship with City National Bank that originated with the purchase of the property. “I am confident that this project will yield tremendous benefit in the short and long term from a cash flow perspective but, equally important, from an environmental perspective” stated ERRG CEO Cynthia Liu.
