DTSC Awards ERRG Two New Remediation Contracts
ERRG has been awarded two new contracts from the California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) for Hazardous Substances/Materials Site Remediation in support of their Berkeley, CA and Cypress, CA offices. These awards are significant because they allow ERRG to continue working for the DTSC for the next 3 years. ERRG has performed over 20 projects for the DTSC since 2001.
Ken Wall Hired as Southern California Region Manager
ERRG is pleased to announce the hiring of Ken Wall as the new Regional Manager for Southern California. Ken brings over 20 years of experience in engineering and business management to ERRG.
Mark Rogers Appointed to Federal Advisory Committee (FAC) of the National Cooperative Mapping Program (NCGMP)
Mark Rogers, a Project Manager at Engineering/Remediation Resources Group, Inc. was recently appointed to the National Cooperative Geologic Mapping Program (NCGMP) Federal Advisory Committee (FAC) by Ken Salazar (Secretary of the Department of Interior). One of only two successful candidates from over 1,200 applicants nationwide, Mr. Rogers was approved to fill the only vacant Private Sector FAC seat.
Each NCGMP FAC Representative is assigned to a 5-year term of voluntary service to the President of the United States, Geological Survey (USGS), various Federal task groups, and State geological surveys.
The committee meets annually to (1) review and update the Program’s five-year strategic plan, (2) review the scientific progress of the Program, and (3) submit an annual report that evaluates the progress of the FEDMAP, STATEMAP, and EDMAP activities and progress towards full implementation of the National Geologic Mapping Act.

Honolulu Office Relocates
In February 2010 ERRG moved its Honolulu, Hawaii office to a new location. The new space will support ERRG’s anticipated growth in Hawaii and the Pacific Region during the coming years.
ERRG Recognized by the Environmental Business Journal
For the fourth consecutive year, ERRG has been recognized by the Environmental Business Journal as an Environmental Achievement Award winner.
In 2009, ERRG was recognized with the Bronze Medal for Business Achievement: Remediation Companies, for continued growth despite the difficult economy. The company enjoyed its best year ever in 2009, with revenue projected to reach $41 million. New contracts were secured in ERRG's major service areas: Environmental Construction/ Remediation, Military Munitions Response (MMR), and Civil Construction.
Zweig White Once Again Recognizes ERRG as a Hot Firm
In the August 25, 2009 edition of the Zweig Letter, ERRG was listed as #111 on the Hot Firm List. This list recognizes the fastest growing A/E/C and Environmental Consulting Firms in the United States. This is the fourth year in a row that ERRG has made the prestigious list.
USACE Honolulu Awards MATOC to ERRG
ERRG was recently awarded a Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) for Construction Services from USACE Honolulu. The contract has a 5-year total duration period including option years with the maximum contract value of all contracts at $100,000,000. The services anticipated under this contract include design bid build and design build construction projects that involve civil, architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, security, communications, asbestos removal and lead abatement.
ERRG Awarded NAVFAC Pacific Small Business GMAC
ERRG was recently awarded an IDIQ Small Business Global Multiple Award Construction (EMAC) Contract for Commercial and Institutional Building Construction from NAVFAC Pacific. The contract has a term of 60 months, with a total contract capacity of $400,000,000. The services anticipated under this contract include new construction, repair, demolition, and renovation of various locations worldwide (including remote locations), general construction including horizontal (utilities, waterfront)
and vertical work (building), construction of medical facilities (hospitals, medical clinics, and/or dental clinics) and
commercially available energy and water conservation projects.
NAVFAC SW Awards Range Sustainment and Remediation EMAC to ERRG
ERRG was awarded a Range Sustainment and Remediation Environmental Multiple Award Contract (EMAC) from NAVFAC Southwest. The contract has a one year base period and option years, with a total contract capacity of $100,000,000. The services anticipated under this contract include range clearance, demilitarization, mutilation, certification/verification, disposal, and recycling
of range residue. In addition to range sustainment services, other services include range component design, range closure, construction, maintenance, small arms range maintenance and or closure, alteration, renovation, new construction, hazardous,
toxic, and radiological waste (HTRW).
NAVFAC SW Awards an EMAC to ERRG
ERRG was recently awarded an 8(a) Environmental Multiple Award Contract (EMAC) from NAVFAC Southwest. The contract has a one year base period and four option years, with a total contract capacity of $50,000,000. The services anticipated under this contract include Remedial Actions, Removal Actions, Remedial Designs, Expedited and Emergency Response Actions, Pilot and Treatability Studies, and System Operations and Maintenance. The award of this contract allows ERRG to continue our eight year working relationship with the Navy that dates back to 2001.
Air Force Awards ERRG a MATOC for Fairchild AFB
ERRG has been awarded a Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) for General Building and Construction at Fairchild Air Force Base in Spokane, WA. The award is
significant because it represents ERRG’s first direct contract with the Air Force. The contract is for one year with four option years, and a total contract capacity of $12 million.
ERRG Moves to New Northern California Office
In October 2008 ERRG moved from Concord, CA to a 30,000sf building located in Martinez, CA. The new building will support ERRG’s anticipated growth during the coming years.
Fastest Growing Private Companies, Hall of Fame
For the fifth consecutive year, ERRG has been listed by the San Francisco Business Journal as one of the fastest growing private companies in the San Francisco Bay Area. As a result of making the list for the fifth straight year, ERRG was elected into the Hall of Fame, an honor reserved for only a handful of companies each year.
ERRG Jumps in ENR Top Environmental Firm Rankings
On the heels of the best year in the company’s history, ERRG moved up thirty-five places, from #170 to #135, in the Engineering News Record (ENR) listing of the 2008 Top 200 Environmental Firms in the country. Between 2006 and 2007, ERRG revenues went from $27.5 million to $36.7 million, a 33% increase.
ERRG Recognized by the Environmental Business Journal
For the third consecutive year, ERRG has been recognized by the Environmental Business Journal as an Environmental Achievement Award winner. In 2006, ERRG won a Bronze award for Medium Sized companies, which was defined as firms with revenues between $25M and $100M. In 2007, ERRG was presented with a Silver award for Medium Sized companies. In 2008, ERRG was recognized for achievement in the Development of a New Practice Area- Clean Construction. During the year, ERRG was awarded over $17 million in clean construction projects.
ERRG named EBJ's Achiever of the Week
During the week of July 23, 2008, ERRG was was named EBJ Business Achiever of the Week by for recording its fifth consecutive year of record revenues. Sales increased by 27.3% from $27.5 million in 2006 to $35 million in 2007.
Seattle and San Francisco Relocate Offices

2007 Inc. Magazine 5000
ERRG was recognized by Inc. Magazine as one of the fastest growing private firms in the country. The recent rankings placed ERRG as the 30th fastest growing Environmental Services Company in the US. The ranking was based on a three year revenue increase of over 168%.
ERRG Adds Two Key Individuals
ERRG has hired Chris Penza and Brian Wetzsteon to further strengthen our management team. Chris will be the Southern California Regional Manager, overseeing our offices in Los Angeles and San Diego. Chris brings over 20 years of experience to ERRG. In addition to his legal training, Chris has a strong background in managing multiple offices engaged in environmental construction and consulting activities. Brian will be managing construction operations throughout the west, as well as the establishment of a Portland, OR office. Brian has nearly 20 years of experience in project management, estimating, cost/scheduling and construction management.
ERRG Opens an Office in Honolulu
ERRG recently opened an office in Honolulu, HI in an effort to pursue opportunities in the Pacific. Our first employee is James Estores. James has worked in the Pacific for his entire career, and will be coordinating all of ERRG's activities in Hawaii, Guam and other Pacific Islands.
Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year
Cindy Liu was selected by Ernst & Young as a finalist for their 2007 Entrepreneur of the Year Award Program. The selection was based on revenue growth over the past three years, innovative approaches that the company has taken over the years, future plans for the company, and corporate culture. In addition to the required submittal information, an onsite interview was conducted by one of Ernst & Young's review panels in order to truly gauge the firms operation. ERRG is extremely proud of the recognition that goes along with this award, and will continue to establish itself as one of the fastest growing firms in the environmental industry.

EPA Selects ERRG for the Small Business START III
EPA Region 9 recently awarded ERRG the Small Business Superfund Technical Assessment and Response Team III (START III) contract. ERRG and our partners, Ecology & Environment and ERS Solutions will be supporting the EPA over the next five years on this $19 million contract. The scope of work will include audits and inspections, contingency and risk management planning, preparedness and prevention, multimedia surveys and inspections, training classes, data management and a variety of additional technical support tasks.
ERRG adds Munitions Response Capabilities
In our continuing efforts to identify service areas that will support our clients, ERRG can now offer munitions response capabilities. ERRG's Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) & Munitions and Explosives of Concern (MEC) staff includes Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) professionals, Engineers, and Geologists. Our UXO/MEC staff's vast amount of experience, combined with ERRG's existing capabilities in environmental engineering and construction, enables ERRG to perform a wide array of services on active and former military sites impacted by MEC and hazardous waste. Mr. Jesse Sipult will manage ERRG's UXO & MEC operation. Mr. Sipult is a former Marine Corps EOD Technician with over 16 years of military EOD and civilian UXO experience. US Forest Service Selects ERRG
The United States Forest Service recently awarded ERRG a three-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract to provide environmental response action services throughout the Pacific Southwest Region, which includes California and parts of Oregon and Nevada. ERRG will perform site assessment/characterization, removal action support, removal action implementation, remedial action support, remedial action implementation, enforcement support, and other technical support and assistance under this contract.
ERRG Receives a Nunn-Perry Award
On March 8, 2006, ERRG and Shaw Environmental Inc. were awarded the prestigious Nunn-Perry Award at the Department of Defense (DoD) Mentor-Protégé Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. The Nunn-Perry award honors the performance of Mentor-Protégé teams that provide outstanding work on DoD subcontracts. The selection criteria include: quality of technical assistance provided by the Mentor to the Protégé; cost of the agreement to the DoD in relation to the beneficial value to the U.S. economy (return on investment); and the impact of the relationship on the development of the Protégé. This award was the culmination of a two-year relationship with Shaw under this U.S. Navy sponsored program.
DTSC Awards ERRG Two Regional Contracts
Early this year, the California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) awarded ERRG two competitively bid Regional Site Remediation Contracts. The contracts cover the remediation of hazardous waste sites in the Costal Region of Northern California and the Cypress Region of Southern California. The award of these contracts extends the ERRG/DTSC relationship, which dates back to 2001. During the past four years, ERRG has performed over $25 million of work for the DTSC.
ERRG Recognized as a Zweig-White Hot 100 Firm
For the first time, ERRG has been listed by Zweig-White as one of the 100 Fastest Growing Architecture, Engineering, Planning and Environmental Consulting Firms in the United States. The 7th annual "Hot 100" list was complied for the years 2002 through 2005. During the evaluation period, ERRG grew from $6.1 million to over $22.3 million, a 265% increase. This rapid growth placed ERRG at number 11. The award presentation took place in October at the Mark Hopkins Hotel in San Francisco as part of the Zweig-White Hot 100 Conference, which brings together leaders from the country's foremost design, engineering and environmental firms.
2006 Top 100 Fastest Growing Private Companies in the Bay Area
For the third year in a row, ERRG has been recognized by the San Francisco Business Times as one of the fastest growing private companies in the Bay Area. A reception held at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco, CA recognized ERRG as the 53rd ranked company on this dynamic list. ERRG's revenues grew from $10.2 million in 2003 to $22.3 million in 2005. The increase in revenues over the past three years represents 118% growth.
2006 ENR Top 200 Environmental Firms
The July 3, 2006 edition of Engineering News Record (ENR) ranked ERRG as the 174th Largest Environmental Firm in the United States. This ranking represents the second year in a row that ERRG has been on the list. ERRG first appeared on ENR's Top 200 Environmental Firms list in 2005, ranked at 194th.
ERRG Establishes a Los Angeles Office
Because of our ongoing work at the BKK Landfill in West Covina, California, ERRG has opened a new office in the Los Angeles area. Our newly expanded presence in Southern California will also provide the opportunity to expand our services with some of our existing clients. The new Los Angeles office will be managed by Mr. John Pings, who has over 16 years of experience in the environmental industry.
ERRG Obtains DBE Certification from BART
In April 2006, ERRG obtained Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) certification through the local California Unified Certification Program (CUCP) agency, the Bay Area Rapid Transit District (BART). This certification will allow ERRG to participate as a disadvantaged business on U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT)-funded projects. In addition to BART, other transportation agencies recognizing the CUCP certification include the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (MTA), San Mateo Transit District (Samtrans), Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA), Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (METRO), and Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA).

Top 100 Fastest Growing Private Companies in the Bay Area
ERRG was recently recognized by the San Francisco Business Times as one of the fastest growing private companies in the Bay Area. At a reception held at the St. Francis Hotel in San Francisco on October 11, 2005, the ranking revealed that ERRG came in at number 35. The ranking was based on a revenue increase of 134.7% from 2002 to 2004.
SBA Region IX Minority Small Business Person of the Year
Cindy Liu, the President and CEO of ERRG, was recently honored by the US Small Business Administration as the Minority Small Business Person of the Year for Region IX, which encompasses California, Nevada, Arizona, Hawaii and Guam. Ms. Liu received her award in Washington DC during the mid-September National Minority Enterprise Development (MED) Week conference.
Largest Woman-Owned Companies in the Bay Area
The September 16-22 edition of the San Francisco Business Times listed ERRG as the 24th Largest Woman-Owned Company in the San Francisco Area. The ranking was based on 2004 revenues and took into account companies in nine Bay Area counties.
Top 200 Environmental Firms
ERRG, for the first time in our eight year history, was ranked as one of the top 200 environmental firms by Engineering News Record. The July 4, 2005 issue of ENR listed ERRG as number 194. The ranking was based on 2004 revenues of $14.4 million.
